Woven Visions Basketry Workshop

Sign up for a fun four hour basketry class with renowned basket and story weaver, Mavis Muller, from Homer, Alaska. Mavis will instruct and collaborate with each student to create a one-of-a-kind basket using natural materials such as; cattail, fennel, flax, and yard clippings. Materials provided. Mavis Muller, Homer Alaska, began her Burning Basket project of interactive impermanent art in 2004, and has led a total of 42 burning enactments in communities in Alaska, US, and abroad. This project has become her life’s work, to build community, of all ages, and empower individuals with interactive art as a civic function.
