About the event
From The Redwood Playhouse in Garberville comes this all original show with music, dance, poetry, elder wisdom, comedy, and poignant stories of loss and love. A sequel to a show that was first created and performed 17 years ago by veteran Southern Humboldt theater artists Barbara Penny, Joani Rose, Marilyn Foote, and Susan Alexander, this show is “very personal, yet completely universal.” says Jane Lapiner of Human Nature Theatre.
At the time it was written, the women had begun to notice that they were no longer “spring chickens.” They asked themselves how they wanted to move into their elder years, and explored how our culture deals with aging. Now, 17 years later, with grace and a sense of humor, they know even more about what it means to grow old! Music by Marcia Mendels and Jeanne York, and including Feet First Dancers and Jenny Edwards.
This show is not recommended for children. Show length is 2 hrs with an intermission.
