Cirque du Shwazee: A Spring Break Spectacle!

Step right up, young dreamers!
Cirque du Shwazee is a one-of-a-kind spring break adventure where kids transform into circus stars, learning skills from expert performers, with a special focus on clowning, dance, and physical theater, and discover the magic of movement, creativity, and showmanship! Throughout the week, your young artist will train in a whirlwind of circus arts—But the real magic happens on the final day, when they take center stage alongside incredible local artists for a spectacular showcase. Cirque du Shwazee is a place to explore, express, and shine. Join us for a week of wonder as we bring the spirit of the circus to life!
This spring break camp is best for kids ages 5-13, and will be taught in two groups: Ages 5-9 and ages 10-13.

Bring your own lunch! Snacks will be provided. The final performance, featuring the great Cirque du Shwazee, will take place on Friday, April 11, at 5pm. All families and friends are invited to come and see enjoy a circus midway and performance.
Meet the Teachers

Lela Annotto
As a Multidisciplinary Teaching Artist, Lela has taught performing arts locally for over 20 years. From preschool to adults she loves to find new ways to inspire students to explore dance, theater and visual arts to better understand themselves and connect with their community. She is a Lead Teacher in the Artist in Schools Program for the Playhouse Arts since 2018; teaching mask making, mask performing, devised theater, shadow puppetry, clown and dance! She is a producer of the One Minute Dance Series now in its 12th year, you can see this show at Redwood RAKS March 1st at 7m and 2nd at 2pm, part of the Zero to Fierce Women's Festival!Add your text here. Victoria Timoteo is a performer, theatre artist, and producer with 15 years of experience specializing in clown, physical and devised theatre. A graduate of Dell’Arte International’s year long training program, they have a desire to continue creating and teaching ensemble work. They co-run Gooseberry Gallery, a private artists studio in Blue Lake and co-founded Mystical A/V Club, a production company that has staged four shows in Humboldt. Their ensemble Magenta Mountain is one of their deepest loves. Whether on stage or sifting through a pile of cables, they are passionate about lovingly creating work that is as absurd as it is beautiful.
