Always In Motion

Playhouse Arts, Arcata's Local Arts Agency, is a community arts center that presents events and programs, while making its spaces available to local organizations, and supporting public events and festivals in the great outdoors within and throughout Humboldt County.

Enrollment is now open for the popular Spring Break Workshop for Kids at the Arcata Playhouse! Learn circus skills from expert performers, and take the stage for the final performance and circus midway, featuring the grand Cirque du Shwazee.

One of the most popular annual features of Playhouse Arts is the Family Fun Series. National and international performers come to town with shows designed to delight children and adults alike. Hundreds of elementary school students attend these shows at the Playhouse during the week, and a public performance of each show is added for the enjoyment of all.
